Frequently Asked Questions
What is Mind+Body Fertility support?
Mind+Body Fertility support combines evidence-based psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and coaching techniques to help women navigate the emotional and psychological aspects of the fertility journey. It focuses on regulating the nervous system, reducing stress and emotional burnout, and aligning the mind and body for a more positive journey and to create a more receptive state for conception.
Who do you work with?
I work with women and men at all stages of the fertility journey - whether you're trying to conceive naturally, preparing for IVF, recovering from miscarriage, or simply feeling emotionally overwhelmed. I also support couples and individuals navigating fertility challenges pregnancy after loss, and the transition into parenthood.
Is Hypnotherapy Safe?
Yes, hypnotherapy is considered a safe, enjoyable and drug-free therapy when conducted by a trained and certified practitioner. During hypnotherapy sessions, clients remain fully aware and in control of their actions, and cannot be made to do anything against their will or moral code (it is nothing like stage hypnosis which is for entertainment purposes).
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Sessions required to achieve the goal varies from person to person and also dependant on the reason for seeking therapy in the first place. Whilst some clients only require 1 session, an average would be 3-4 sessions, with others requiring more sessions for longer term support. During a discovery call or the Initial Appointment, Kate can provide you with an indication of how many sessions may be required.

It's also important to ensure that between sessions, you complete the suggested home tasks and practice self-help strategies and techniques to concrete learnings and imbed change required to succeed.
Can Anyone be Hypnotised?
While susceptibility to hypnosis can vary from person to person, the majority of individuals can be hypnotised to some degree. Factors such as willingness to participate, ability to focus, and openness to suggestion play significant roles in determining one's responsiveness to hypnosis. Most people can achieve a hypnotic state with the guidance of a skilled hypnotherapist who tailors the approach to individual preferences and needs. It's important to note that regardless, nearly everyone can benefit from hypnotherapy techniques to some extent, whether for relaxation, behavior modification, or therapeutic purposes.
